Interim Awards in Arbitration

An interim award is a decision made by an arbitrator during the course of an arbitration proceeding. It typically addresses specific issues that need to be resolved before the final award can be issued. For example, an interim award may address the question of whether one party is entitled to certain relief, such as a temporary injunction or the preservation of assets, while the arbitration continues. Interim awards are binding on the parties as are final awards.
